Cycling on PEI
AT A GLANCE
AN ISLAND BUILT FOR CYCLING
Tom Couture is a long-haul cyclist, who biked the entire length of the Trans Canada Trail in 2003. According to him, Prince Edward Island’s Confederation Trail is the best one out there: “I’ve travelled all over the world, and I’d say there’s no better trail system on the planet,” he says. Built along old railway lines, the Confederation Trail is exceptionally well maintained, and there are plenty of small communities along the way where you can enjoy a meal and island hospitality. “Slow down and enjoy the care-free pace of the Island.” Many of Your PEI Vacation rentals are located close to the Confederation Trail. Nothing is ever that far away. Properties are cycle friendly!
